Opportunity for public to ask Tax Review questions in Facebook live broadcast next week

Friday, 22 April 2022

As part of the continuing engagement with the community on the Tax Review, Islanders will have an opportunity to put their questions to a panel of political members and experts next week in a live online Q&A.

The panel will include: Deputy Peter Ferbrache, President of the Policy & Resources Committee; Deputy Mark Helyar, Treasury lead for the Policy & Resources Committee, Deputy Peter Roffey, President of the Committee for Employment & Social Security, Mark Thompson, non-States Member of the Committee for Employment & Social Security and Bethan Haines, States Treasurer.

The live Q&A will be broadcast on the States of Guernsey Facebook page and at ourfuture.gg/tax-review, beginning at 7pm on Tuesday 26 April.  Islanders will be able to submit questions live using the Facebook comments or by emailing taxreview@gov.gg during the broadcast.

It will last roughly an hour and the panel will field as many questions and cover as many topics relating to the Tax Review as possible during that time.

Any question relating to the Tax Review is welcome.  The questions will be moderated to avoid repetition and to ensure the language is not inappropriate.

For anyone wanting to speak in person to the political members leading the Tax Review, there is also an opportunity on Monday 25th April between 5pm and 7pm, to attend a drop-in at the Cobo Community Centre.
